I’ve been out and about on the high-street this week, purely for research purposes you understand of course, and whilst on a browse in Top Shop a pair of boots I spotted TOTALLY stopped me in my tracks and inspired me to put together this blog post. I just had to share:I mean… remind you of anything?! – a total out-and-out copy of THE Chloe Susanna boot, highly coveted but insanely expensive at £850. These on the other hand, the Kowboy Studded Western Boots from TopShop – 45 of your finest English pounds. Yes, you read that right. £45. Utter. Bargain! I’m thinking I need them in my life.
Since last Christmas, I’ve been wearing the Office version and I have to say, they are such a brilliant copy and they’ve not only been incredible comfortable but I’ve worn them with EVERYTHING! So, cost per wear, I’m basically into minus figures – they’ve virtually paid ME to wear them! 😉 I had them in the silver buckle, but now I’m leaning towards the gold for 2017/2018 (I realise I’m behind the curve here, but hey ho!), so if I don’t go for the TopShop ones above then these would be an option (although currently they appear to be out of stock):
Office Lucky Charm Studded Boots in Black Leather Gold Hardware (reduced to £54) – buy here.
Staying with studded ankle boots but moving away from the Chloe Susanna, I’m more than a bit in love with these gorgeous Givenchy Studded leather ankle boots, but not so in love with the price – £965 (*vomits a little in mouth). Sigh.Annoyingly these look-alike boots from TopShop are out of stock, but if they come back in they’re an amazing copy. These ALFIE Buckle Boots from TopShop (£89) are also a pretty bloody good close second and are currently in stock in almost every size.In the meantime, how incredible are these Lewis Studded Buckle Biker Ankle Boots that I spotted on blogger Emma Hill’s EJ Style blog. A.M.AZING! $129 (but you get a 10% discount on your first order if you sign up with your email address) – you can pay with PayPal – and Emma’s advice is that the boots run small so order up a size to get the right fit. VERY tempted by these:
Jessica Buurman Lewis Studded Buckled Biker Ankle Boots – buy here.
Just a note to say, Emma highlighted that while these aren’t real leather she says the quality and fit are superb. Read her review here.
Also discovered these in Office that are very Givenchy-esque, they are the Amsterdam Multi-Buckle Studded Boot in black leather with gold hardware. £90, in stock in most sizes and real leather. Buy here.If I had the money, or actually, scrap that, even if I had the money I probably still wouldn’t spend it on a pair of boots, BUT (humour me here for a moment), aren’t these Burberry Everdon buckled boots just a 90s dream – in all the right ways! A major investment though at £995, but they are pretty Fab. U. Louse. No shadow of a doubt.Okay, so they’re not the same, BUT clearly inspired by and a hell-of-a-lot cheaper, these Maddie Gold Buckle Biker Boots (£40) from Prettylittlething:These River Island Cowboy/Biker boots are also a good option – sort of a Chloe Susanna / Burberry Everdon hybrid – and a bargain at £47.99. I know, I know, they are “imitation leather” but for a fashion boot, could work. And finally… a round-up of some of the best others I’ve discovered through my researching and general browsing, let me know if you’ve spotted any great ones I should check out.
Office Alabama Multi Buckle Western Boots in Black Velvet with Gold Hardware, £90 – buy here.
Multi Buckle Anke Boots from M&S, £75 – buy here.
