Five days until Mother’s Day people (if we’re counting today, which I am, because today is totally another shopping opportunity day). So if like me you’ve had Mother’s Day somewhat creep up on you and you need to get some presents sorted pronto, then read on… Here’s my round-up of some of the best pressies you can bag for your Mum / the person you’re celebrating on Mother’s Day, which you can still buy before Sunday!
Cashmere Shawl – Lois Avery – STANDARD DELIVERY 2-3 WORKING DAYS
You’re tight on time for Mother’s Day, but if you order today (Wednesday 22 March) then standard delivery is 2-3 working days so all being well you should get it by Friday (£5 flat rate postage charge). I have discovered the beautiful Lois Avery brand via Instagram and have fallen in love with their beautiful 100% cashmere shawls. Their cashmere comes from different breeds of Asiatic goats and is woven into luxurious shawls in Italy by family-owned mills – the same mills that produce cashmere products for some of the world’s most famous designers. And what mother wouldn’t love a bit of cashmere on Mother’s Day? I particularly love the colours in their ‘Italian Collection’ – priced at £125, which is pretty great value for quality cashmere, no doubt. My personal pick would be for the ‘Rose’, such a gorgeous summery colour – perfect for those cool summer evenings on holiday:
Personalised Freya Necklace – Merci Maman – ORDER BY 1PM THURSDAY 23RDThis stunning natural gemstone necklace, which I would LOVE to receive on Mother’s Day (hint hint – on the 45cm beaded chain please!), it’s gorgeous and so everyday wearable. It has a circular Mother of Pearl pendant and can be reversed on the other side with a personal message/the names of your children. Available in 18k gold plated or sterling silver (gold for me please!) and in a variety of chain lengths: 45, 60 or 80 cm. Beautiful. From £99.00.
Mother’s Day Gift Packages – Don’t Buy Her Flowers – ORDER BY 3PM THURSDAY 23RD
The marvellous Steph at Don’t Buy Her Flowers (you MUST follow her on Instagram, her stories always make me laugh) has a collection of great Mother’s Day Gift Packages that are thoughtful and packed full of the things that we as mums ACTUALLY want! You can order by 3pm this Thursday for delivery in time for Mother’s Day, my favourite picks are… for my own mum:
The Care Package (from £27.50)Contains luxury caramel & cranberry flapjacks, green tea with mint and everyday brew tea, triple choc brownie truffles, a large printed scarf (you get to select from 2 designs) and a glossy magazine (4 to choose from). You can also add COOK vouchers to the package if you want to give mum a night off cooking! Love it.
And, probably for my mother-in-law, who doesn’t really “do” pampering products and glossy magazines:
The Some Like It Hot Package (from £18.50)Choice of Cartwright & Butler biscuits, Thermos mug, choice of Teapigs teas or other hot beverage – coffee / hot chocolate. Again you have the option of adding COOK vouchers.
Mother’s Day Flowers – Wiggly Wigglers – ORDER BY NOON FOR NEXT DAY DELIVERY
…there are also options to deliver on Saturday 25th March or Sunday 26th, Mother’s Day itself, but there’s an additional £10.50 delivery charge if you opt for a weekend date. Still time to order before the weekend though if you get cracking. I discovered Wiggly Wigglers a few years ago and what I LOVE about them vs other flower delivery companies is that they are all about sourcing flowers predominantly from British farms. They have some beautiful arrangements for Mother’s Day, my top picks are below (vases not included):
Skincare Sets – Kiehl’s – NEXT DAY & WEEKEND DELIVERY OPTIONS
I spent a fantastic morning at Kiehl’s in Richmond yesterday, having my face seen to! Apparently my skin is dehydrated (no great surprise) and I learnt a lot about what I can do to take care of it morning and night – more on that to come in another blog post! I was introduced to some gorgeous products that made my skin feel amazing and they have some great little packages that would make for perfect Mother’s Day presents:
A quick note on the below, it’s the Kiehl’s Pure Vitality Cream – Manuka Honey Face Cream (£49). As a firm believer in the powers of Manuka honey to cure most ills, I’m totally sold on this stuff: apply to the skin morning and at night for smoother skin and a more youthful radiance. Feels incredible.
New Pyjamas – Cyberjammies –
Nothing says ‘I love you Mum’ like a new pair of pyjamas – am I wrong?! I don’t think so. I was introduced to the Cyberjammies brand a few months ago at a press day and was gifted a pair of their flannel check PJs. Oh my goodness, SO cosy and so comfortable – I love them. There are some beautiful designs in the new season collection, I think these are my favourites – the Louisa Woven Long Sleeve Floral Print (£45):
