Sales shopping. Love it or loathe it, if you can grit your teeth and get stuck in, it’s undeniably a great time to pick up a few bargains and, particularly, invest in a few higher-end pieces that might ordinarily be out of reach. It’s hard not to get overwhelmed wading through the sales but online shopping makes it a lot less painful doesn’t it? as does someone else curating a little selection on your behalf! So I thought I’d pick out a few bits and share them with you in case any float your boat.
First up, Ganni. I am THE biggest fan of Danish brand Ganni, virtually they can do no wrong in my mind and I have been lusting after their mohair/wool blend knitwear for longer than is healthy so as soon as the sales hit I immediately jumped online to see if any of my favourites were reduced. And joy of joys, they were! Now, granted, they are still on the pricey side, but the reduction is pretty significant and to my mind these are really special, so…
I have been wanting one of these jumpers for so so long, I am absolutely thrilled to have got my hands on one without having to haemorrhage £340 – which, to my mind, is just too much money to spend on a sweater no matter how lovely. This is 50% mohair, 50% wool, hand knitted by Tuscan artisans and takes three days to make apparently. I just LOVE it! Now, sizing… this is a Large (generally I wear a size 12) and actually, I’m now going to order the X-Large just to compare because I would like it to feel oversized and snuggly and this is borderline. I think as I have quite a long body sometimes these jumpers don’t quite sit long enough on me, so I’m going to see if the bigger size works that bit better. They still have sizes XL, M, and S remaining on Net-A-Porter so if you’re interested, click here.
Hopping onto the Outnet, I then spotted another striped Ganni number and fell in love. I think with both, the shape of the balloon sleeves as well as the overall striped design just pulls me in every time, there is something that’s just perfection about these sweaters I could literally order one in every colour-way and design if money was no object!
Again, I’d ordered it in the Large but on trying it, I’m now going to try it out in the XL because although it fits totally fine, I think if I want more of a baggy oversized look then the XL might work better on me. They seem to still have S, M, L, and XL sizes left and I think this is such a great price for a Ganni knit that if you’re thinking about it, click here.
Okay, staying with sweaters but moving on to those of a hoodie variety, this one caught my eye on Net-A-Porter. It’s Isabel Marant Étoile and very like the one I live in from the H&M x Erdem collaboration (although granted somewhat pricier!). Only size FR44 left, which I decided to order and just see… but if I wear it as much as the H&M x Erdem one (school-run staple!) then it’ll certainly be a good investment and it is pretty goddamn cool.
Okay heading a little off piste now, this cute little textured leather belt bag caught my eye. I have been pondering the belt bag for a while now, wondering if I would actually wear one and could I pull it off. Undecided on both accounts but I thought I’d buy and try, so this is currently on order. Let’s see…
It also comes in a patent red which is very tempting, but I opted for the midnight blue as I thought it looked a little more chic in the darker colour, although a pop of red is always really striking.
If you haven’t yet taken a look at online shopping site Studio B Fashion then you absolutely MUST. I met the founder/owner Bethany last year at an event and not only is she utterly gorgeous and so friendly, she has the most amazing eye for picking out some highly lust-worthy pieces and in particular has a whole host of my absolute favourite Scandi-brands curated to perfection. The sale is now on and these I am SERIOUSLY tempted by:
Looks like they still have sizes 10 and 12 in stock. Such a pretty candy-floss colour and gorgeous shaped sleeves, love! And moving on to skirts, I am SO tempted by this one by Gestuz, its just so wearable and versatile: dress up with heels and a shirt or came, dress down for the school run with trainers and a hoodie. Fab.
And how about this absolute skirt of dreams by Baum und Pferdgarten? – dress up for a wedding or dinner out, dress down for a summer beauty with trainers. So much to love. Gutted that they only have a size 36 left otherwise I’d totally be ordering (and then having cold sweats about the fact I’ve clearly ordered too many things and am totally going to have to send some of it back for sure!).
Right, I should totally be going to bed now, but I’ve started so I’ll finish…. a few final bits to make your heart flutter. But remember, it’s only a bargain if you’d genuinely have bought it at full price, so don’t get too swayed by the reduction!
