The alternative title to this post could be ‘How To: Guarantee You Get The Presents You Actually Want This Christmas’ – yes, it’s a round-up of my most desirable, which for the guys reading this you would do well to take guidance from and for the girls – well, why not just forward it on as a way of providing helpful suggestions. You’re welcome.
Rachel Jackson London – Personalised Mixed Birthstone Locket (from £65)This right here is THE loveliest present to gift and receive, particularly for someone who has children because you can personalise it with their birthstones. Just gorgeous. Exclusive to NotOnTheHighStreet, this necklace by jewellery designer Rachel Jackson comes in Gold, Rose Gold or Silver and final price depends on the finish you select but range from £65-£120. You can select up to 4 birthstones and personalise the gift card that comes with it. I have a Gold version with my two daughters birthstones mixed inside and I absolutely love it, literally every time I wear it people compliment me on it and want to know how to get hold of one. Highly recommend and such a thoughtful gift to give too. For other gorgeous Rachel Jackson (and there’s lots) visit her main website for a browse – I particularly love the geometric designs she has in the Serenity collection and they’re really affordable too.
Memo Eau De Parfum 75ml – Lalibela (£175)Right I get it that £175 is not an insignificant amount of money to spend on a bottle of perfume, but here me out. This is SERIOUSLY the best perfume I have ever owned, ‘true life’, as my 5 year old would say. Memo is a Parisian fragrance brand founded by design duo and couple Clara & John Molloy and their 11 scent collection is based on places they have visited and loved. Lalibela is a perfume I have worn for an eternity and each bottle lasts a really long time. Lalibela is named after the Christian city in Ethiopia and the fragrance notes consist of coconut orchid, rose, jasmine absolute, oil of Indonesian patchouli, rockrose absolute, vanilla, tobacco absolute, Frankincense and labdanum resin. It’s like nothing I’ve ever discovered before. Exclusive to Harvey Nichols there are a number of other scents, so if you can get yourself there on a shopping trip, try to pick out the one you think would suit best – otherwise, trust me, this one is heavenly.
LK Bennett – Mariel Red Saffiano Leather Shoulder Bag (£145)
This cute little ruby red shoulder bag (other colours available but many sold out as this has been a super popular ‘It Bag’) from LK Bennett is brilliant as festive gift and perfect as a run-around town but also doubles-up as a great option to use in the evenings because of its size. Here’s the clever bit though, if you want to make it that bit more special, you can personalise with these striking printed leather stickers – so consider initials as a good option (tread with caution though, in case this is too trendy trendy for the recipient, perhaps don’t stick on and let them decide):
Desmond & Dempsey – Women’s Luxury Cotton Pyjama Short Set (£81)
Posh pyjamas are always a luxury and a lovely gift to receive, these from Desmond & Dempsey are in the sale so you save 15% and I just love the fern print design. They are also available in a long trouser set (reduced from £130 to £110) here.
Diptyque – Figuier Scented Candel 190g (£42)Candles are always a safe-bet but everyday luxury gift for Christmas but DO NOT go cheap otherwise they’ll end up shoved in a cupboard never seeing the light of day. Diptyque is always a good decision and one of my favourites is this Figuier scent, which is perfect for the winter season: warm bark and fig leaves. Visit Space NK or Liberty to browse other scents or save yourself the trouble and order this one online.
360 Sweater – Galaxia Star Jumper (£299)100% Cashmere and 100% gorgeous, snuggly and perfect for cosy nights in (or out) – available in chambray light blue/cream or pink/red colour ways you can’t go wrong with cashmere at Christmas. Available from Feather & Stitch.
